Question: Removing VZ 58 Front Sight, And A Source For A Top Rail To Mount A Scope

I would like to remove the front sight assembly from my VZ 58 but would like to know if the pins are tapered like the AR 15s?
If there are any things I should look, for I would appreciate any tips you can offer.
I also am looking for a source, for a top rail to mount a scope or sighting system.

Just wondering why u want to take off the front sight? It shouldn't get in the way of a red dot or scope, plus it's good to have the back up irons.

I am looking at a different kind of front sight.
A friend of mine has come up with a design for a new style of sight and I don't want to wreck the old one.
I think its better to ask first and don't Bubba the job.

Not sure about the front sight removal, I wouldn't do that... check out the Vz section at zahal.org for an epic flat top hand guard rail system.
