It seems to me that the 77RSI when it originally came out may have been available, sometime in it's early production, in 250 Savage. Can you guys confirm this or do I have my head up my a$$?

Probably. Labled 250-3000 and pretty rare like the M77's in 250 Savage.

Lispseys also built a stainless full stock RSI Mark 2 in 250 savage a few years ago. Thats the one I have.

Definately made one.
I'm pretty sure my dad picked one up in the 80's
Took me 9 years of whining and snivelling before he sold it to me.:D

Yes they were chambered in 250 Savage but are relatively rare.

Lipsey's had a special run of stainless/walnut done in 250 a few years ago and Prophet River brought a small number into Canada.

Seen one many years ago at a gunshow, it had been ai'd. There are some 22-250's floating around too but it's been a while.

Funny you mentioned that - there were two of them for sale at the same time on the ee a few months ago.

I had one of the stainless/walnut Lipsey's .250 RSI's locked up with Clay about three and a half years ago, til something else shiny he had caugh my eye and I bought it instead if memory serves. Then I got a .250 Savage stainless/walnut No.1A from him this year. The .250's a gem of a little cartridge.

Definitely. Bought one for my wife from Custom Gun Shop in Edmonton back in 1986. Had KS Arms turn it into a 250 AI as the velocity in its original guise was a bit anemic. The result was excellent as the little rifle gained a good 10-15 percent increase in velocity.

I have one in Rem 700 Classic.A one hole shooter that one.Loves warm loads of Win 760/100gr Sierra's...........FL size 22-250 brass it's a lot cheaper and easier to find.....Harold
