Question to those with a 10/22 in a Marauder Kit

I just picked up one of there and was wondering if anyone was able to get a 50 round drum mag to work? I was at the gun store and the girl that worked there said none of them work. I was wondering if anyone can confirm that or have been able to make minor modifications to make them work. Any advice and help is greatly appreciated

no the magwell is in the way

Not without modding the magwell, just use the stick mags.
