Anyone know of an rifle that looks like an m16, that is non restricted and fires 223 shells? a friend of mine was telling me about it, but he didn't know what it was called.

Robinson Arms XCR maybe? Kinda' looks like a quasi AR. Fires .223 & is non-restricted. Check out the Black & Green Rifle Forum. Almost forgot the AR-180B. Has a polymer lower and is non-restricted & takes AR-15 mags!

Remington is doing their semi I think, and pump for sure modified to accept AR mags as well.

I'd say your friend is most likely talking about the AR-180B.
