As previously posted there is no such thing as a stupid question lol. But out of curiosity does the Canadian Military reload their spent brass? Or is it a liability? Because when I was an army cadet we shot at connaught and they took the brass back in a sandbag bag.

They sell it for scrap on the Crown Assets auction site, a while ago there was a lot of over 1000 pounds of 5.56 brass for sale.

"...took the brass back in a sandbag bag..." Nothing new about that. We had to do it 25 years ago too. I believe it was scrapped then too.

Part of it, is policing the area. Can you imagine how deep the brass would be on some military ranges after 20 or 50 years.
