[Questions] 12 gauge shotgun! Any suggestions?

Cant forget about the Mossberg 500 either.

Or hell, I have heard good things about the Mossberg Maverick 88, for under $250 it leaves you with a lot of room to buy extra chokes, change the stock/add a side saddle/whatever floats your boat. I plan to pick one of them up soon myself.

Most time will use for target shotting only.
Might be use for hunting sometime in future.
Action: pump or semi auto

I have looked into Mossberg 590A1 in the past, then i found Weatherby PA459 is better.
But i can't find any info about Weatherby PA459 in here.
Since this will be my frist shot gun, i want to ask what your guys think!

You may be able to pick up an older Side by Side or lower end Over Under for this price but I wouldn't recommend it. There are some used semi's within your budget but once again for a first shotgun I wouldn't recommend it.

With regards to pumps? If you plan on using your shotgun for multi discipline hunting then I would suggest an 870 Express or a Mossberg 500. For your budget you could go a long way with a Mossberg combo. Both of these shotguns will have endless options with regards to barrels (slug barrels, short barrels, turkey barrels, etc......), stocks, mounts, etc..... The Nova is another good option but I believe the components are a little harder to find and at a higher price.

If you're not concerned about tactical stocks, multiple barrel options, etc... I would then suggest a Winchester SXP as these are a very well built firearm and fairly inexpensive. There are different configurations but they use a back bored barrel which some people like and other do not. The turkey model is set up for an optic mount and in my mind is the most versatile model and could be used for almost anything. Pumps are clunky devices but they are reliable and can take a beating.

The 590AI is a tank of a shotgun. My only complaint is the lack of interchangeable chokes which for me is a must have. A cylinder bore becomes fairly useless in certain applications.

I haven't heard much about the weatherby's but there is definitely no where near the same aftermarket following. That wouldn't be much a skeet or trap gun :) but it does have an interchangeable choke which is a plus. Try this review: http://www.gunsandammo.com/reviews/riot-guns-weatherby-pa-08-tr-and-weatherby-pa-459-tr-review/

If you plan to shoot clay targets and you have a $500 budget, you are looking at buying a lightly used 1100 or Super X-1. Either gun will stand up to the rigors of shooting clay targets. Hopefully, you can find one with choke tubes, which will give you the option to shoot all the clay games. I've seen it time and time again, where a new shooter buys a "new inexpensive" semi or O/U and after a year or so, they break. Pump guns are a handicap, if you want to shoot any doubles games.

Shooting doubles with a pump adds to the challenge. I tried it with a bolt action mossburg. That was damn near impossible lol

That is awesome hahaha

I use an Beretta 687 for trap, skeet, and sporting clays but one of the best shooters I ever saw was an old fella shooting a beat up Model 12 pump. The recoil pad was basically sticking out sideways, metal was damn near in the white, wood was worn, and it had a fixed modified choke I believe. I won a Winchester SXP recently and although it is the fastest pump I've ever shot I was still at a disadvantage when shooting doubles. However with practice I think I could get to acceptable levels.
