questions about a model 1892 Winchester 25/20

Had my hands on a Winchester 1892 25/20 today. I was wondering:

can you still buy 25/20 ammo?

does this rifle have to be registered?

its in fair to good condition...what would the value be?

The rifles can range in price from about $600.00 to well over a thousand for a pristine rifle.

ahh how i lust for one, could have got a nice one for $450 last winter, but screwed around too long and missed it. someday i shall find ione, but not at that price

I have one and it shoots great.....I have lots of ammo from the 1970's and 60's and it fires fine......there is new stuff available..

It isnt a long range round my any means but a reasonable coyote and close up deer gun......

Did I mention I am gonna part with this one? :wink:
