I have been looking around for an IDPA ready SSP gun. I have been using a lightened up Shadow, but I am getting concerned that I am going to get a bang one day when I try to lower the hammer (don't want to be disqualified). I was looking at the M&P Pro, but then I thought of the Phantom as I already have holsters and magazines for the Shadow.
Maybe someone can answer some questions for me to help me make a more informed decision.
Is the grip frame geometry the same as the Shadow? I love the fit of the Shadow in my hand and would prefer to shoot a gun that fit the same.
How is the trigger on them compared to the Shadow? I am pulling about 3 1/2 lbs in SA right now (NSCC rules); is it possible to get it down to that with the firing pin block in it?
Can the slides be swapped between the Shadow and the Phantom? It looks like yes, but I am not 100% sure with the decocker and the firing pin block on the Phantom.
Hopefully some well informed people can give me a hand. Thanks in adavnce for any answers you can give.
