So I finally jumped into the restricted game purchasing a used Ruger MarkIII Target from the EE here (thanks Nicolas!!!) and a CZ SP-01 Shadow Canadian new.
My questions are about the recoil and main springs supplied with the pistol. There is a lighter main and a different recoil spring (I don't have the case in front of me but I think there are two extra of each). The literature that comes with the Shadow isn't great...it says nothing about the different springs other than they are supplied.
1) What is the pressure of the stock main spring and recoil spring?
2) What is recommended spring/pressure for each if I were to try my hand at competition (possibly in the future).
3) How do I identify the different pressure springs? There are no markings...just main springs in one bag and recoil springs in another.
4) Are there any other modifications I should consider in the future?
I have 200 rounds through the CZ and it is amazing. I am a pistol newb and as is the shadow is fine but better is...well....better.
Thanks for any advice/help. Below is a pic as I hate opening these threads with nothing to look at...
