Questions - Browning BAR -pre 1981 vs?, Safari model, long track etc -

I have been reading information on the internet but appears to be some conflicting perspectives on this rifle so Im hoping someone can set the record straight

What is the difference between the older vs the BAR 1 , BAR 2 and now I see BAR3. I was in a gun store (Ellwood Epps) and asked about this and they didn't know what I was talking about

For accuracy which are better - the older or newer

Any input from our CGN experts would be appreciated

Shortrac........Worst shooting gun I have ever seen, owned or heard rumours about. Tried everything I could think of, called Browning USA, they said it was only guaranteed to 5" @ 100 yds. I said I had an old A Bolt 375 H&H that was way better than that, he said "well you got a good one then."

Last Browning product I'll ever buy. Best I can say is it was reliable. Otherwise I could hit a bull in the azz with a bass fiddle with more accuracy than the 243 Shortrac.
