Hello all,

I've just received my test papers back for my CFSC and CRFSC and have got my photo taken and filled out all the appropriate paper work. I've chosen my references but I would lilke to prepare them for the coming interview.

I've talked them through all the paper work and told them the reason for the restricted license is for shooting at the Alymer hunt club where I hope to become a member and join friends. However I would like to know exactly what they will be asking myself and references.

Can anyone tell me question for question what they will be asking me and my references? A friend of mine got his a long time ago and he was only able to give me a rough idea of what they ask but if anyone knew the exact procedure they follow and what questions they ask that would be awesome.

Thank you so much for your time,

Cheers,

Nuffwynn

I got asked about my personal life, why I wanted a RPAL and what I intended to do with it. They also asked if I had any recent issues with co workers or family, if i suffered a breakup or divorce lately. Stuff like that.
They asked my references if I was of good moral standing, if i was trust worthy, if i had ever eluded to going "postal" or if I had anger issues.

All in all, there is nothing you should need worry about assuming you aren't intending on using your firearm for criminal purposes, which clearly you are not

I was asked why I wanted restricted and then asked the same questions on the application. References were asked 5 times if I was violent :p.

They will ask:
1) is this person a violent person? Do they suggest violent means to solve problems?
2) is this person suicidal? Do they ever speak of killing themselves?
3) is there any reason you know of why this person should not own a firearm?
4) how long have you known this person? Did you feel pressured in any way to be a reference?
5) are you being paid or coerced to be a reference?

Pretty much word for word what they RCMP just asked me 2 weeks ago about my buddy

one of the questions that they asked my references is "doe's he hate school yards?" uh... nope.

another question was does he hate other races? nope.

I guess they are worried about people who get mad.
