I know this question has been ask 1000 times, but i've tried searching and haven't quite found what I'm looking for.
I installed my norc m14 into a usgi stock, and dropped an aimpoint clone from fab sports (which uses a cantilever mount) onto one of those UTG handguard rails from fab sports.
Firstly, have any of you with red dots been able to get away with a cheek rest that just velcros on as I am a bit leary about drilling holes into my stock for those type that use bolts. If so, who sells 'em?
Secondly, the cantilever mount has the bottom of the front lens about 1 " off the rail. Is there some single ring that I can replace the cantilever with to lower the red dot that 1"?
