hi all

maybe someone here could help me with some info on the following. today i was looking at a few really old rifles and was looking for some history/ info on them. one is a 12ga shotgun with the makers mark john m smythe long range, the other is really strange. it's a very small remington, what looks like a 32 cal rf single shot. besides the small size of it, the way it load is very different. there is a small door at the rear of the barrel with the firing pin in the center...you flip the door open to load the shot, then once closed you #### an exposed hammer, similar to what would be seen on a revolver, and fire. the only other mark i could find was a pattent date of 1908. sorry, i have no pictures of either. thanks ss

Some photos would be extremely useful plus a shot of the proof marks on the shotgun (underside of the barrels at the breach) You description of the rifle could describe several actions to again photos please.

cheers mooncoon
