I don't know if this has been posted before, but here's a way to make quick case trimmer adjustments.
With the collar locked as far to the right as possible, and the adjustment set to zero, I insert a brass collar onto the shaft after removing the cutter head.
I've made up collars for .308, .30/'06 and .303 British. The shaft is about .560 inch and the hole in the former brass nipple is about .618, so I have a bit of masking tape on the shaft to take up the difference.
It takes about five seconds to change from one cartridge to the next. I'll make up collars for .222 and .30/30 next. It seems that I never have to trim .38/55 and .45/70.
If I have to trim a different case, I can do it and then return the collar to zero and I'm back to my quick change setup.
