Yeah, I know- beaten to death.
But I was thinking "there should be easier way...."

THEN IT CAME TO ME!

Pressure Washer!
No? If not- please tell me why.

Other than it may be physically difficult using a pressure washer on the smaller internal parts, i dont see why it wouldnt work. Depending on the pressure output you may want to use extreme caution if using it on a laminated stock. It might work well as an initial pre-disassembly hose down. Just my .02

A pressure washer may ruin the wood because the wood is so soft. I really don't understand the big deal with cosmo on the metal bits. Take the rifle apart, wipe it down with paper towels. Now the majority of cosmo is gone. Toss all the small bits in a tray of cleaner (I use kerosene). Wipe/toothbrush them clean. G96 or something like that after. It's quick and easy and no risk of damaging parts due to water or spraying them into the next yard. :)
