Yes, they are interchangeable. I have both 550 & 650 and that is exactly what I did to mine. Even the de luxe quick change is interchangeable too. All you need to replace is the tool head.
Which of the two presses do you find better for loading high volume rifle like 17FB and 223? A number of people are recommending the Hornady LNL for rifle. I don't pistol load at all. Thanks
