I wasn't a huge fan of the pukey looking brown grips the 1911-22 comes with, so I decided to touch them up with a can Krylon "Fusion for Plastics" paint in camouflage green.

I took the grips off (obviously) and sprayed them down with brake cleaner to get all of the oil off.

After the brake cleaner dried, I sprayed 3 light coats on each side and let them sit overnight.

Total cost - $5 and 20 minutes of actual work involved (not including drying time).

Looks great, makes it appear like the grips are thinner.
Have you got two of those guns or is that a photoshop mirage???
Are those the 85% size guns...thinking of getting one if so how do you like it/them???

I have two of them and I like them a lot.

Most .22's seem to be incredibly finicky about ammo, but for whatever reason, these are not at all. I can shoot cheap bulk pack stuff right up to top of the line and it just won't jam.
