quick! help me find the right scope!

I put in an order for a 1.25-4 illuminated scope for my 10/22 and I need to change it before they send it.

My requirements for the gun are:

1) can be used to shoot gophers (how much magnification do I need?)
2) can be used to shoot at night (at rabbits etc.)
3) can be used in winter (I like the Bushnell rainguard feature)

The scope I ordered has rainguard and is illuminated (it's a Bushnell), so it really hits all the right spots, but I'm thinking the magnification is too low. I only need to hit gophers out to 100 yards. I also like the Firefly, and would go for that because they have a 3-9 version but the reticle is not ideal for target shooting.

For shooting gophers at a 100 yards you may want something with more magnification that even a 3x9. I have a 3x9 on mine and its barely adequate for me at that distance. That could also be due to my tired old eyes nowadays. I'd look a a 6x24 if I was to replace mine.
 
I use a vortex 4-12x crossfire. It works good for gophers at 100 yards. Not illuminated but I think the crossfire series can come illuminated. Good price for a rimfire scope

Thanks!! Just ordered the Crossfire II 3-9x40 V-Brite (illuminated).
 
Actually I decided to get the Burris Fullfield 3-9 illuminated instead. The Crossfire 2 has some bad reviews with losing POI.

I have an older 6-24 bausch and lomb 4000 on my 17HMR right now. I never go over 14/16 with it. FOV is too small even at 6x. You loose the ability to track down the target easily. My Ruger has shoot through rings for the really close stuff. I run a 4-12 vortex viper on my hunting rifle, its plenty of scope for mid range, and does Ok close, and Ok out to 600.
