hope im in the right place and someone can help.

while finishing the 9.3 bullet test was wondering if someone can run some numbers?

rifle is 56cm barrel lenght.

what would be the output speed and the pressure for Woodleigh 320 pp grains sn 53 and 54 grains imr 4064. regular length.

same for 270grain Speer with 55 grains.

56 imr 4064 grains 250 and grain bullets.

barnes tsx , ttsx , gmx Hornady , Nosler ballistic tip and accubond .

finally 285-286 grains and 54 grains imr 4064
for Hornady , prvi and norma alaska .

what quantity of powder will be there in 4064 imr for the Hornady 286 grain to reach 2150 fps speeds the original 9.3x62 ? same lenght as the Nosler partition is 3.361


to give in perspective what i found:
60 grains varget 286 grain oryx at 6 paces 2493 fps with 56 cm barrel lenght coal 3.271.

2210fps 12 paces with barnes tsx 286 and imr 4064 54 grains. coal 3.360

12 paces 2262 fps with the nosler partition coal 3.357 and 3.361 load imr 4064 54 grains.

The following is generic to the program, as I have know way of knowing anything about your particular components or rifle.

320 woodleigh, 53gr imr 4064 50891psi 2176 fps
54 53596 2211

270 Speer, 55gr imr 4064, 2299 fps for 45162 psi

286gr Hornaday 54gr imr 4064 ,47205 psi, 2256 fps


Powder burn rates can vary up to ~5% so as I said the above is very generic.

In a 9.3x62 two of the best powders with 286gr bullets are RamShot Big Game and VV N-550, just sayin'
