I was talking to a friend who deals with Savage yesterday and he mentioned that he can do exclusives with them and is looking for ideas for a .22 to do one. I said a FV-SR barreled action in a TR stock or the same action in the Boyds laminate thumbhole. How about a decent scope with it, not 3-9 but maybe 4-14 or something in that range? Which do you guys like or do you have a different combo or idea that you would really want. He supposedly has to do 500 units so it has to be something with fairly large appeal. Thanks for your input.

FV-SR with TR stock would be nice.

That would sell. I'd buy one... heck, maybe two! Just make sure to leave that goofy tri-rail off.

As for the scope, I'm not convinced that would make a more compelling package. Lots of people are pretty particular about their optics, one size does not fit all.

I probably wouldn't but if you can somehow export the PA scopes, they'd give a pretty good bang for the buck.
Is that the Primary Arms scopes? I haven't seen one of those up here. I would imagine it would have to be whatever brand Savage is partnering with right now but I will ask him. I still don't know if it should come with a scope or not. I'm thinking yes but I guess it depends on pricing.

No tri-rail if I get my way but I am still on the fence about a scope. I'm also going to ask if it would be feasible to put DIP bottom metal and trigger guard on from the factory for cheap. He just asked me to come up with ideas so that is why I am asking you guys what you would like to see.
