If I buy a new or used rifle from a gun store being that it is still not law yet and they may be scrapping the gun registry do I have to register it?
I know the amnesty has still been extended until next year.

Thank you

-You are still required to obtain your PAL (possesion aquisition licence) before you will be allowed to purchase any firearm.
-If the Bill still hasn't made it into law by the time you obtain a PAL, or RPAL and you purchase a firearm legally , yes you will still need to register it.

Very good about the PAL. When purchasing a firearm from a gun store, you will still have to register it. The amnesty only applies to unregistered firearms you already own.

If you purchase from a store, the firearm is registered. You don't register it. The registration is transferred to your name.
Read the amnesty. It may not be what you think it is.
