Just purchased one yesterday and hope to have it out shooting next week when it comes in. My question is what type of carrying case does the ar come with if it comes with one at all? I forgot to ask the dealer stupid me. Im planning on mounting a scope to it so i would like a nice soft, floatable case similar to what the marlin papoose has. If it dosnt come with one what did you guys use for a case or what not?

AR-7 Case

The original Armalite AR-7, designed by Eugene Stoner as a survival rifle in .22 long rifle, disassembles and stores in the butt stock. It has a flexible rubber cover that can be removed, and the parts (barrel, receiver, and 8 round magazine) can be put inside the stock. It will float if dropped overboard.

In other words, the butt stock is the carrying case.

I don't use a case for mine as it didn't come with a case. If you're looking for a case like the Marlin Papoose, why not just get the Papoose?

Buy a rifle just for the case is a little excessive dont you think?. However I am buying a papoose sometime soon when ever i can locate a new one. I still would need another case though as i would keep the papoose case on the papoose.

Our CGN pal Louthepou handmade a wood stock for his boy's AR7.

The sights are so crude any improvement is progress. So figuring out how to mount a cheap fixed power scope might be a good idea.

mine is good enough. polished internals and bugs worked out. Had a jamming problem so it only eats full punch rds.

I have heard bad stories about these but I sure would prefer it over nothing.

My using rifle is my custom 10/22 but I would never sell the AR-7
