Is it still possible to buy a non restricted vz58 but with the "beaver Barf" stocks and that awful blue paint?
Basically are there any rifle/mag/bayonet combo's left that are not affected by the reclassifications?
If I have to wait until the Conservatives do something then so be it... but I'd like to have one sooner

edit: I know I can get a CSA version but would like a milsurp :d
 
Yes, But I would prefer new or unfired because not everyone knows how to clean up after corrosive ammo. Some just use hopes #9 and think its ok.

Does anyone know if there are those blue vz58 rifle/bayonet/mag combos that were $700... or have I completely missed the boat?
 
What you are looking for is a CZ858 (I own one but it stays in the safe now :( ) you won't find any around. The VZ58 however are available and several sponsors sell them. I also own one of these and its a blast to shoot! You can pick up the beaver barff stock set on the EE and put it on a VZ58.
 
I myself prefer the beaver barf and military style blue paint job, classic look and it works just fine, i like the practicality of it rather then the look.

I used the boiling water technique last time. It seems to loosen up the grime nicely for wiping. I also find WD40 prevents corrosion quite well. If there is a nook or cranny that's hard to get I find hitting it with some WD40 will keep it from rusting. What I still need though is a good tool for wiping out the gas mount.
