Hey I have been around quite a bit asking questions, but i just have a small concern about my RPAL application.

Under the question that says :

" During the past five (5) years, have you threatened or attempted suicide, or have you suffered from or been diagnosed or
treated by a medical practitioner for: depression; alcohol, drug or substance abuse; behavioural problems; or emotional
problems"

I selected "no", and during the interview also answered no this question. This was the truthful answer.

However today I remembered that about a year ago I went to ONE session with a registered counselor for mild social anxiety/public speaking, however I didn't go back as I felt it wasn't a big issue at the time, and felt i didn't require counseling. I saw this more as a chance at self improvement instead of an emotional problem.

My question is: are they going to check into this and possibly see it on my medical records + is it grounds for denial?

Thanks.

I think you're more paranoid than anything. I'm sure it'll be fine, it's nothing I would be concerned about 1) if i were you, and 2) if i was the one who conducted the interview and read this now.
