Hey Guys

Just one quick question I have finally got a load built for my new 300RUM to the best of my ability. I went off the Berger Bullet load chart on the chart it says 92.0 Grains of Retumbo is Max load at 2913 FPS for a 210 Berger Vld I ended up getting the best performance with it I shot yesterday with that load and used a friends Crono Graph I shot 4 bullets the results were 3055,3067,3071,3055. Should I be worried with the higher FPS or be happy with the results i was Ringing the 550Yrd gong with them every shot the rifle casing don’t have any signs of over pressure.

Thanks guys

go with the results and with the safety signs on the round. as long as you are not having pressure signs such as cratered or flattened primers, ejector marks on the brass or sticky bolt lift, you are there. every gun is different, every barrel is different and every batch of powder is different. find a load that gives you accuracy and never mind velocity. you can always correct for drop but nothing corrects poor accuracy or precision.
