Quick Ruger 10-22 question

I don't see much advantage of having sights on a target model. Since it is a "target model" it is made for scope mounting, not shooting iron sights. So yes, its just for a scope.

Having said that, if you really wanted iron sights on this model you could...

1. Buy a GM barrel with firesights.

2. Get a gun smith to install a front sight ramp on your barrel and buy good quality peep sights for it.

Thanks for the replies! Sorry for the ignorance on the subject, I just love the way the stock and barrel look and want something like that in a non-target model. :D

It's the K10/22T . In other words like others have said it's the stainless steel target rifle. I have one of these. I really like it. I put a Burris 3-9x 40mm scope on it. The triggers are a bit lighter than the regular 10/22. I have the stainless steel version, but I think the blued looks a bit better. Either way they are both very nice looking rifles. They also shoot fairly decently right out of the box. I might put a few changes into mine, but overall it's going to stay mostly stock. I'll probably pick up a cheaper one to modify and leave my target one alone.

you can do this

that is very nice, but i am not particularly a fan of the butt and pistol handle style. I like the way the "stock" stock looks.
