Are all long range scopes finicky with eye alignment when on high magnification?
I treated myself to a Sightron III 6x24x50 LRMOA and while it’s a nice scope I found myself struggling at times to get proper eye alignment. I think what made it seem worse was that I had my hunting rifle with me that wears a VX-2 2x7 and it just jumps to the eye ...
That being said I shot my first ever one hole 5 shot group (100 yrds) with it so once lined up all is
good.

Higher magnification does generally mean a smaller window to line up your eye into.
With some(perhaps most) designs the eye relief length changes some as you change magnification, so that can play with things a bit too if you're messing with magnification a lot.

The NF competition models have a really small eyebox. I actually like that, since I means my head position/cheekweld have to be the same each time or I'll notice scope shadow very easily. YMMV

Scope what? Acquisition?
High magnification = small field of view, not eye relief. Eye relief is the distance between your OEM Mk I Eye Ball and the rear ocular. The field of view is the area you can see at 100 yards. High magnification makes that smaller.
Your Sightron's FOV on 24X is 3.9 feet at 100 yards. 16.1 feet at 100 when on 6X. Neither magnification is really great for quick shooting. The 24X is a lot worse though. That high is really meant for shooting off a rest.

Just means you need to better adjust a repeatable cheek weld. Out a small index mark on your stock if you need to so you can get your cheek into the same spot every time.

This, have you set the rifle up to fit your body ? A lot of my friends have issue with sight picture on my rifles because I am taller then most. My one friend not a shooter didn't know what they talked about... (we are same size so he had no issues)

Good video thanks. I guess it's just a matter of set-up then. I'm shooting a Tikka varmint so no cheek rest so I was trying to almost hover above the stock to keep eye alignment.
Something to work on.

Thanks

Another problem people have is getting parallax adjusted properly, there is confusion since people refer to the adjustment as "focus".

Here's another quick video, probably better ones out there but this is a quick example:
