Forgive my ignorance but what is the difference between hunting and target turrets on a rifle scope?

I took the plunge and completed my safety courses just yesterday so I wanted to take the opportunity to do a quick bit of homework and do some research.

Thanks!

To sight in the rifle, or make elevation or windage adjustments, most regular (hunting) turrets usually have a fine threaded cap that you have to unscrew and remove before then using a coin/screwdriver, etc. to spin a slot, thereby adjusting the reticle.

Target turrets are external 'knobs' that you spin with your fingers to make quick adjustments for elevation or windage; you can also quickly return to your zero by then spinning the knobs the opposite direction the same number of clicks.
