Quick source for 8-40 screws

Anyone have suggestions on where to find some 0.5" or longer 8-40 socket cap screws (Torx or hex)? I only need a couple but I need them by the end of next week. My local fastener supply stores (Ottawa) don't seem to have any and I'm not having much luck elsewhere. I'll buy 100 if I need to but I can't wait for a US shipment...

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

If you don't go in too far (maybe 3/16) you can get away with M4. You will not find any 8-40 in Ottawa except maybe from Jason. I have some but not that long.

I didn't see any 8-40 at the Amazon link. M4 can be bought at Fastener Supply in Ottawa and maybe at Home Depot. I use a fastener supply that will ship over night from Kitchener. They sell Spaenaur stuff but better prices, Knapp Fasteners.

He wants size 8 x 40 tpi not the metric M8 x 40mm long.

Check local industrial supliers usualy they can have stuff in a day or two.

Success! Sort of... I cannibalized some crappy scope rings I discovered in my parts drawer and got eight 8-40 hex socket cap screws.

Try a hobby shop that specializes in model trains, planes and R/C cars. They have all kinds of small screws. If that fails phone Track of the Wolf and be prepared for delivery cost shock but if that is your last hope...
