R22 mag compatibility

I want to know if the mag of 10/22 can fit on R22 rifle.

If you go on the rhinelands arms website they discuss modifications to the Ruger and steel lips mags. I tried an unmodified mag once (not sure if my R22 version is #2 or #3) and it was a real PITA to put in and remove.

I've got 8 Butler Creek Steel Lips mags, and all run perfectly.

The gun is a wonderful amalgamation of designs. My own works perfectly. Some others were not as lucky out of the box, and Rhineland were slow to correct the issues.

I would buy another.
