Ive moved to banff and I need to find where there is some public land around here. Has anyone hunted near here? Also Im from Ontario and when i look at the Alberta Regs I see nothing on rabbits? What are they?
take highway forty going north, of highway 1a ,from close to ghost lake. About twenty miles north you come to the forestry reserve . Drive north a few more miles till you come to some old clear cuts and start hunting.

You don't need a license and rabbits can be hunted at all times of the year in Alberta. Rabbits are listed on page 52 of the 2005 regs near the bottom of the page.
