Cottontails?.
I can go on for a long time on where they dwell.
They like to live anywhere there's good cover, and reasonable feed on the ground.
I once went hunting with some friends and we got our limits in about an hour.
Hint, we hunted a section of cut down, of evergreen trees the MNR decided to leave lay for the winter. What a bonanza, there were rabbits everywhere!
We had to kick them out while they were just running around under the trees branches. But once they started running away from under the stubble, they were fair game.
Mighty fine hunt, and one of the greatest hunting memories I'll ever have.

We had the same thing under a bunch of fall cut cedars, rabbits everywhere, kicked about 15, we only got 4 though, they took off and into holes within a few seconds.
For cottontails, field edges, anywhere that there is tender grass and buds around are good starting points. Hare we find more in the swamps.
