Rabbit Hunting

Cottontails?.

I can go on for a long time on where they dwell.

They like to live anywhere there's good cover, and reasonable feed on the ground.

I once went hunting with some friends and we got our limits in about an hour.

Hint, we hunted a section of cut down, of evergreen trees the MNR decided to leave lay for the winter. What a bonanza, there were rabbits everywhere!:D

We had to kick them out while they were just running around under the trees branches. But once they started running away from under the stubble, they were fair game.:D

Mighty fine hunt, and one of the greatest hunting memories I'll ever have.:)

We had the same thing under a bunch of fall cut cedars, rabbits everywhere, kicked about 15, we only got 4 though, they took off and into holes within a few seconds.

For cottontails, field edges, anywhere that there is tender grass and buds around are good starting points. Hare we find more in the swamps.
