hey all,I just bought a cz ts orange and I am finding it pretty limited as to holsters I think mostly because of the thumb break,so I am looking at race style holsters but I don't know much about them except that they are expensive, lol.Does anyone have any experience with the double alpha x and the ghost holsters and the like, thanks in advance for the input.

Have used a ghost for 3seasons.
Couldn't count the draws I've used it for.
It works as required too.

If your unfamiliar I highly suggest dryfire draws first.
As an active ro I see new shooters losing their guns from an unlock and alot of bad practices with an unlocked holster (running start....)

I plan on lots of practice drawing for sure,I just don't want to spend 2-$400 on a holster that doesn't have good retention or poor construction.

+1 for the DAA Alpha-X or RaceMaster holsters. I like that I can switch inserts and run a different gun if I wanted to try something else while keeping my rig the same ie pouches and holsters remain in the same location on my belt. The locking mechanism is nice and secure too. I would recommend doing a bit of practice at home and getting used to the feel of disengaging the lock, drawing the pistol, reholstering, verifying the pistol is secured in the holster and then reengaging the lock. One nice perk is that you get less wear on the finish of your pistol compared to using a standard holster, if that matters.

I considered a Ghost and they are a nice option but I felt the extra $$ for a RaceMaster was worth it in the long term.

CR-Speed holsters are infinitely adjustable. They will fit any gun, including yours.

I like that they have a muzzle support.

Some of the other brands just dangle solely from the trigger-guard.

And have zero issues without a support. I've seen more dropped guns from cr speed holsters than any others.

While race holsters are good and DAA is one of the best, a lot (and I mean a lot) of people prefer something a bit more familiar. Red Hill Tactical has an outstanding product.

Delivery times are about 30 days, but once you go with a good hanger and double thickness, you will be impressed. In my case; I never looked back and sold all of my race holsters.

Then again, some people just prefer race holsters.

RHT is nice but after you get add the double wall, hanger etc it's about $130 plus ship and conversion into CAD from USD. I'd rather have a holster I can swap out the block vs buying a $200 holster. Thats just me though.
