Has anyone used the Radocy Rust Blue Express or Integrity Instant Cold Blue? How are they and would you recommend these products for a beginner?

I have used the Radocy Rust Blue Express on small parts. very time consuming, but produces a superior finish to that of any cold blue.

The final blued (almost black) finish is very hard - perhaps even harder than caustic salts bluing.

Although I have not done larger parts, I've seen some of Paul's barrel samples where he used the rust blue solution and just a heat gun - carding with steel wool between treatments of solution. Very nice even finish.

This is not beyond the skills of most DIY's - just lots of elbow grease (carding) between solution applications. If you go for this, please show us your results :D

I will let everyone see. Unless I do such a bad job that I am too ashamed.

I have used the rust blue and got very satisfatory results. Am much less impressed with the cold blue.
