Raging Bull issues

I have 2 Taurus Raging bulls in 454 Casull. One is an older model which works perfectly. The other is a newer model which works well with 45 colt but cartridge extraction is very, very sticky using 454's. Is it possible the chambers need to be buffed?

That's probably the issue. I had a Ruger SRH a while back in 454 Casull and if I spiced up the load the same thing would happen. Neither the Ruger or Taurus has mirror polished cylinders like the ones on a Freedom Arms.

Worth a try. Could be worth buying a proper hone. If you go for the cheap and cheerful approach without the tool, go easy!

Sometimes it got so bad that the cases needed to be tapped out with a wooden dowel.
