Rainy day buck.First of the season.

Im not much for bow hunting but what else is there to do on a rainy day?

Nice, Hefty lad! ..... Their nose gets full of scent on those rainy days leading upto the rut and gets them moving.

Only other thing to do is watch a bit of playoff baseball!

..... which come to think of it wouldn't be too bad .... out of the rain and could have the ball game on at the same time.

Not 100 yrd from a buddy's back yard.Climed in the stand before light on the edge of a small field.Could hear deer around the stand for about 15min before I could see them.Two bucks within range so I took the closest one as I have not practiced with my bow enough lately.12 to 15yrds lung shot.Took two jumps and layed down.Not as exciting as hunting with dogs in rifle season but did get my heart pumpin some.Was my first deer with a bow.
