I 'try' and save my reloading chores for rainy days and today looks like the day;). A short while ago I purchased a Husqvarna model 3000 from Why not? and today is the day to crank out some reloads for it:D.

This is another caliber I'm planning on going with Barnes TTSX bullets in and to that end I've picked up a good supply of 130gr TTSX from Henry Nierychlo on site:D. In addition, with the rifle from Why not? I also purchased some Sierra SBT's in 130gr and 150gr. Ted also included some 130gr Nosler/Winchester 'Combined Technology' Ballistic Silvertip bullets. :redface:I never knew such an animal existed. Anyone have any experience with them, and if so, comments?

As food for thought, I never load on rainy days. With the air in Calgary normally quite dry, and the fact powder is hygroscopic in nature, I load when the humidity is 'normal' for the average in Southern Alberta.

If we waited for dry weather here in my part of BC to reload ammo, I'd have to stick to shooting factory stuff.
Our monsoon season has started already, will stop for a while in May... :D

I'm not so sure about that. Some of them have different BC's than the same weight Ballistic Tip....at least I seem to recall that.

Maybe the lubalux coating makes them more VLD?:p

Here are the links to the 2 bullets. They do have some BC differences listed for some reason?? But note the 4 pictures of the bullet performance at different speeds. They used the exact same pic for both of them!:)

Johnn, please keep us posted on your results.
I have 3 270s and a 270/08 so I'm always interested in other shooters findings.

Will do. In the meantime I've PM'd Why not? , who I got them from, to see what his experience was with them and asked for his comments. I'll give you his take on them as well when I hear back from him.
