Well, I first broke down and got a 10/22. Next it was for the aftermarket stuff (mags and loaders). So after looking around and investigating around I deceided to buy the 50 shot mag and the speed loader from ram-line. Everything seemed to be working great until after I had loaded a couple hundred rounds and the loader started to get hard to press :mad: . Next the 50 round mags started to act up. It seems like the spring isn't putting consistant pressure to push the ammo up:bangHead:. Now is there something that I can do to make this easier or should I just take them back and get the same products from Bulter Creek??? Who else has had the same problem???
 
just wait until you purchase one of their stocks for a high power rifle and it splits down the seams.

Good luck trying to take it back!
 
I hate to malign anything, but Ram-Line magazines are notorious for being...Ram-Line magazines. On a Yahoo chat-group I joined when I purchased my Henry AR-7 (yes, I know it goes by the "Survival Arms" name, but I just can't bring myself to call it by that moniker), I've heard horror stories about how people bought hi-cap Ram-Line mags, only to have them burst apart at the seams...

So, yes - spooky stories abound for these items, but here's a caveat or two:

1) Note that 50-round rimfire mags are sometimes difficult to come by, and, last time I checked, Ram-Line was out of business (I'd love to know where you found Ram-Line magazines, though - if you could post the contact information, I'd be quite grateful). Oh, the point? You might wish to think twice before discarding any Ram-Line products, if there is limited chance of getting them back, since when they do work well, they seem to work quite well...

2) Having said that, Butler Creek seems to be the favourite for 10/22 high-capacity mags - so long as the magazines are steel-lipped. That's another caveat.

Having said all of that that, I have no personal experience with Ramline magazines, and so my comments about them are rather hearsay. The Butler Creek's I've seen and used have worked well and fed reliably (note: steel-lipped!), and if you can find high-capacity Butler's I recommend you grab them (they have their own loading system to facilitate quicker reload times). I believe the 25-rounders are not that difficult to find here.

i have 2 ram-line 50 shot mags and they both broke so i took them back where i bought them as they are should be warrinty but the shop phoned and said they cant get any more as they dont make them anymore(this is what i am told ) and there fore the lifetime warrinty i guess was there lifetime not mine...lol
let us know what you find out ???????

Ram line = crap.

Curiosity got the better of me too when it came to that 50 rd mag.

Maybe they work better with a little bit of breaking in but I just cant see it being worth all the mangles ammo.

I use eagle 30 rd mag and they work reliably right out of the bag. The wear out relatively quick, but they are about 1/2 the cost of steel lips. Of course, if you are rich, there would be no question at all bout which way to go now would there!?!
 
Yes, he lips, not so much on the sides, but in the front, on the insides of the lips of course.

I cant say I can think of anything you can do about it.

But I buy them 3 or 4 at a time, usualy annualy, but sometimes twice a year from rimfire sports.

I shoot my .22s alot. This makes sure I always have spares.

Besides. Its fun to watch peoples reactions when I throw a burnt out mag in the trash at the range.
 
I have one of the 50rnd mags, it works great in a gun it likes, it's just that it doesn't like my gun. You can easily bang off all 50 rounds in my friends 10/22 without a problem and boy is it fun. With my gun the most you can fire is 10 rounds then it jams. It would also help if I had a mag loader, because it sure is hard on the thumbs after a while. I am probably going to sell mine in the EE with a couple AK bayo's pretty soon.
 
Mine won't even feed a single bullet. The bullets are trying to feed too low.

The metal ones from the states looked good. Tactical inovations I believe. Not as many rounds though.
