For those who are old enough to remember Rambo - First blood (Sly Stalone), I'm that old.

Just wanted to ask what folk think of the new Excaliber 380 for a first bow? Never been hunting for deer before; however I'm 25 years around firearms (pistols to skeet).

Any constructive criticism welcomed. I'm a sucker for impulse buying but also not really worried about paying $1000 for a bow.

The 380 Excalibur is a WONDERFUL XBow. Much more user friendly than the predecessors, narrower, faster,lighter, shorter draw length. They got all this together, and still kept it Strong and simple.They shoot like a Laser!!! Jim
