Ramline Stocks.

Ramline stocks

I have 6 of them.........3 on .308s, (308 Mohawk,788 Rem, Parker Hale)........2 on Lee Enfields sporters......one on my .338 Ruger

All were drop-in fits........
All are camo paintable ,so they all are.......

People either like em or hate them..

It rains alot here and I put them on anything I hunt with.......leave the wood stocked rifles for nicer days....

I had 4 on a Rem 721 in .06 each one broke and each time they gave me a new one. I had one on a M77 in .338 that spent a decade on a 300wm and never gave either gun any grief. They're not great but they are good enough.

I'm another +1 for Ramline Stocks...

Have had a few over the years. [Win 70 long action, Rem 700 long action BDL and long action ADL...] The older ones were better when they came from the factory with a Pachmayr decellerator recoil pad installed. Currently, have one on a Rem 788 carbine in 7mm-08. It's been on it for at least 10 years with no issues. Action dropped right in without any further fitting. Barrel is floated in the channel. Rifle is uncannily accurate just as is so I haven't changed a thing. For me they've always turned out to be good value for the money.

That looks nice. What would an outfit like that weigh?
 
I bought my model 700 LH used with one on it 8 years ago. Never had a problem with it. Sometimes I look at it and think about putting the factory BDL stock or some other "nice" stock back on but that goes away quick. Pretty it ain't, but for a hunting rig thats going to see weather and heavy bush use, its tough enough and I wouldn't feel too bad if it gets scratched.
 
They aren't target stocks but for a field use rifle they are a good value. I don't especially like the way they feel (plasticy, hollow?) but even so they are a better stock than the factory plastic on a Savage/Stevens. I put one on a Swede mod 38 and the only problem I had is that the comb was correct for a scope but I have to press my cheek down hard on the stock to use the iron sights.
 
Ive had 4 over the years mostly on sporterized 98's, They have always worked well for me, reasonably priced but not whippy and they fit well, but have now switched a couple over to boyd's jrs pepper laminate and although the boyd's require some serious re shaping and lightening I'm much happier with them and they are even more reasonably priced.
 
I have used them a few times they are cheap,they work but I find them very noisy if you walk through the trees and they rub the branches.
