Took my Marlin 917vs and Marlin 444P out for some range testing.

444P load is 265gr LEVERevolution
3 shots @ 100yds from Caldwell led sled
scope is a 1.5-5x VIII

17HMR load is Hornady 17gr V-Max
5 shots @ 100yds from Caldwell
scope is a Tasco 6-24x Varmint

Man that .444 can shoot!! So much for bolts being the only accurate platform............

Got to get me one of those Guide Guns, next on the list I think. Should go well with the 336 30-30 and 39as .22.

Yeah, it shocked me too! This is an honest 200yd rifle with those LEVERevolution loads. The porting sure kept the muzzle lift down. I have NO fear going into the bush with this rifle
