It works well for me, never tried it on a bear though. Never really used the ARC feature yet.
It won't range a bear at 1500, lucky to get the side of a house at that range.

I have owned the 1500 ARC since last October or November. Ive been using one since last summer. They are great rangefinders, I love mine. It'll do trees out to 900-1200 yards, and animals at half that distance (which is a long ways). Maxmium distance ranges has been 1600 yards, in a big grain silo.
