Hi guys,

I'm new to rangefinders, so was wondering what everyone here thinks.

I'm not sure about whether to go monocular of binocular, but what do you think of the following?

If Monocular a:

Leupold VX-IV,
Nikon Monarch 1200,
Bushnell 1500 Elite

If Binocular a:

Leupold RXB-IV
Leupold RB800
Bushnell Yardage Pro

Do a search for "range finder" there's been a fair bit of discussion on these units of late. Lots of what your looking for should be there.

Let us know what you end up buying.

I have Bushnell Yardage Pro,
use it extensively on every hunt.
It is a Bushnell quality, but it works.
If you really want to buy good one, go with Leica Rangemaster 1200, IMO best rangefinder on the market.
As for the ones which read the angle, haven't try it yet, but wouldn't go with Leupold, made in Republic of China.

Good Luck

I've looked at lots of reviews about rangefinders and the general concensus is the Leica 1200 is the best rangefinder out there, pricey, but imo worth it.
