My journey into finding the best ammo for my CZ 455 continues. -15c did not make it easy but by keeping my ammo in my truck and with reloading in my truck I was able to stay out long enough to shoot 7 sets.

First impression are that my CZ 455 likes SK ammo. I was able to shoot two five set under 1/2 inch at 25m for the first time and with two different type of ammo (SK Flatnose basic and SK Biathlon. Both the SK match and Lapua Centre X came ever so close also.

My current baseline ammo (Sellier) could not keep up. (Sellier avg prior to today was 17.7) so i beat my sellier avg and it was still way behind)

I tried a shot at 50 yards and got one group below the 1/2 inch finally. I am sure my gun can shoot sub 1/2 inch at 50 but now its up to me to make it happen. (red target is the 50m one, the paper was at 25M)

Just before leaving I took a shot at 100 yards with SK Biathlon.

Managed to pull off a sub 1 inch group (.89 inch) with five shots of SK Biathlon

I assume once the weather warms I will see the groups shrink (both from skill and ammo/gun not being frozen).

If the trend continues, SK may end up being my ammo of choice.

Target results should be much better when shooting in better conditions. Cold temperatures do not enhance accuracy. A larger sample size of targets will provide a fuller picture with which to compare the different ammo. Sellier and Bellot has not impressed me in any of my rifles. The sub-MOA five shot group (.89") at 100 yards is all the more remarkable considering what the 25m targets project to be like at four times the distance.

Try eley contact and force. I found the SK standard plus was good at 50 but opened up huge at 150 to 200
