Hey Guys,

I just got back from the range after shooting my FIRST batch of reloads. I finally got back the bolt for my HOWA action after sending it for service under the recall. I want to thank you guys here for your support and information! Thought I would share my success to date. I think I found a load to work around and tweak. Unfortunately, I don't have a Chronograph yet, too many $ spent on the reloading stuff already.

My load developement was built around the 160gr Accubonds and IMR4831 powder, 7mm RM Federal brass and primers. I found the Min listed was 51.7gr and the Max was 63gr. I started at 57 and went up to 62 in .5 increments. All shots were at 100 yards.

From the results, I think that something around the 60 gr mark will be the one.

I think the 59 gr load was the best. It will hit whatever you are shooting @ 100 yds.

You have some loads that will surely work, but unless the results are spectacular,I do like to test at least a couple of powders to see if the groups will shrink even more.I would try r-22.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I am wanting to find a load that I have complete confidence in. Ya, a few look promising, but I want better. I think I will try a couple of loads between 59 and 60 grs and see if anything tightens up. I have also adjusted my trigger a bit and hope it helps next time out.

If not, then it seems like the a couple of you are suggesting that I go with a slower burning powder. Of the two, R22 and Retumbo, will either of these be affected by temperature?
