I finally got out yesterday to shoot the new .22 my wife gave me for my 40th birthday.One word FUN.I installed the tuffer buffer and the kidd cocking handle I ordered,found an old 3-9x40 weaver with an AO in the gun safe, mounted it and went to the bush with my 2 youngest,10 and 12.I also brought a couple of other rimfires,an old Belgium browning pump and my sons .17 hmr.
I was shooting off of a tarp,laying in the snow,from 25 yards.It took 20 rounds before I was shooting 1/2" and better groups.I had a bypod on the front and was using my hand for the rear rest.I was shooting the federal bulk pack from Wal mart.
I also brought out my iron swinging target I made and made it sing.2",4",and 6" circles on it.
The kids enjoyed it as much as I did,my daughter was hitting the 6"circle 10 times in about 8 seconds.I was quite impressed.
Looks like I may have to look for a pink one.
