We just finished out Testing and Now Waiting for the pictures to come through the slow email.

Calibers Tested

Hornady 223 BTHP 62 Grain Stopped! (50% Of Plate Penetrated)
Federal 5.56 62 Grain FMJ Stopped! (60% Of Plate Penetrated)
Hornady 308 Win 155 Grain BTHP Stopped! (60% Of Plate Penetrated)
Chinese 7.62x39mm 123 grain Steel Core Stopped! (75% Of Plate Penetrated)

All Were Stopped.

Back Of Plate. The 308 and 7.62x39mm hit within a couple of inches of each other, creating a large impact bump on the other side..

Any chance there was some cardboard above and below the plate to check for spall? And what was the distance the calibres were tested at?
 
What's the weight per plate?

At what distance were those testing shots fired from?

Thanks for sharing testing result, it's impressive nonetheless considering the price.
 
Any ceramic in there? I saw a report online that said the surplus italian plates sold by sportsmans guide in the states were 100% Polyethylene
