Range time with 16" scout

I miss the LTR thread. Damn technology keeps marching on. I remember when the LTR was the bee's knees and guys were getting t-shirts made up. Now it is a quaint old shooter... sigh. That was back when Rugers were still considered hit or miss poo. Guess we are just getting old.

I was very sad when Remington stopped making the LTR. In fact they just are not as good as back then

I would agree with that last statement. My third LTR is a early 90s production one. It was a demo model from the LE tac package. I replaced the scope with a Leupold Mark 4 LR/T but it is sporting the old Michael's sling and Harris Bipod. When did they stop making the LTR? I saw a new one at WSS in town I thought it was still being made.

Hey OP out of curiosity, How come you're shooting bullets in the 150ish gr range? I thought the rate of twist on these suckers was more suited to 180's.

Damn fine shootin btw.

It shot them the best

I tried federal GMM 175 and it did not like them.

I also tried winchester 168 match and it did like them just not as much as the cheap hornady
