rangefinding rifle scope

a guy at my club bought one, just over 1k price. We all played with it in the parking lot and it worked great. Took it out to zero on his hunting rig at silverdale, now it doesnt work. Not saying they're all fragile, but his did not last. Although it was some insane 30cal wildcat cartridge.

I have shot around 200 rounds with the the Bushnell range finding scope mounted on my TC Encore 300 win mag .I used it last year from Nov 1 to Dec 10 it worked fine in all weather conditions . Looking forward to useing it this season .
 
I just Bought a Yardage pro Bushnell Lazer Rangefinder Scope 4- 12- 42 and it seems ex to me.
The Bushnell im hopeing is the best as they have made range finders for awhile now.
you could read the Reviews at Cabalas on them if you trust there Reviews they sounded pretty honest to me.
They have a two year Warrenty so not as good as Leoplold.
The Optics are as good as my Leopold 3x 9 VX II tho

Some are on Sale around here seen two at $749 Today.
Wholesale wants over $900 fopr the exact same one i just bought for less than $700 So look around your Local Gun stores might have better deals!!!

Burris and Nikon make em to but from my Reading the bushnell with its Caliber Turret (theres a turret you can install outa 8 turrets that come with the scope) Mine is 30 06 thats a D turret.
Once installed and set up heres how it works :)
You Range find the target by Pushing the Wireless pad mounted on your Rifle stock Forend. Say its 275 yds.
Turn the Turret to 275 Yds then put the center cross hairs on the target.... Bang your right on target.

Im enjoying mine! :)
 
well i appreciate all the replies, i am still pondering what too do.
The concept sure seems win win though. just one less thing to forget when goin out hunting.
I am concerned about recoil and accuracy though. i shoot Tikka .300 win mag and it does pack a punch when the trigger is pulled?
I still have too check into how it mounts and such aswell?
Still appreciate any comments anyone has to offer though.

i would personally buy a scope and a range finder :)
 
I have one of these on my hunting rifle and love it. Plus the mil-dot reticale is specifically done for the 308 caliber and on my remington 700 VTR it is way to easy for hunting!
I love it a lot!

Although people complain about the weight I think it's well worth it as long as you have a good sling!

I already have both ( a scope and range finder),but lots of times there just isn't enough time to range first then take a shot. Thats why i thought the whole concept of the range finder built into the scope was a good idea. the only thing i do know fer sure is that i can't judge distance werth a crap thats why i got the range finder in the first place ....oh what too do???

Im the same way. I cant judge Distance at all.
You will like the Bushnell.
I think its like the Frist microwaves when they frist came out there was fear and Nashing of Teeth :D But low and Behold Babys were not born with three eyes.
Bushnell would not Warrenty them for 2 years if a 30 06 shook em apart.
 
Just for interests sake, all duplex scopes have built in rangefinders, you just have to learn how to use them. When the crosshairs go from the thicker part to the thinner part, that intersection is about 24" at one hundred yards.
