Ranger 16 gauge

I have a side by each with ear hammers that says it is a ranger on the side. I have no history on this gun as it was passed on to me. It is a 16 gauge. Who built this? I would appreciate any answer you have for me.

Corney, Ranger was a brand name used by Sears. They had shotguns made by a number of manufacturers such as Stevens, Fulton, Savage and others. Are there any other markings on the barrels? Is there a model number? Take the barrels off of the gun and look at the barrel flats and the water table on the action. Are there any marks there? Can you post a picture of the gun?

There are a few cross reference sources available, so with a few more details it may (stress may) be possible to identify the maker.
